How did we get here

Hollowvine crafts heavy, atmospheric indie rock rooted in Pacific Northwest grit and sharpened by decades of live sweat. Blending the visceral gut-punch of Audioslave and Queens of the Stone Age with the fuzz-drenched guitars of Dinosaur Jr and the soaring, melodic sweep of The Killers, Hollowvine builds songs that hit hard without losing their emotional center. Grounded, raw, and unapologetically dynamic, their music explores the tension between external sociopolitical unrest and internal introspection.

The band’s rhythm engine dates back to the 1990s Oregon underground, where Scott and Jason first locked in while playing together in Eugene and Portland with Cetus. Years later, after cutting their teeth across a slate of regional projects, the two launched the initial foundation for what would become Hollowvine. To ignite the frontline, Scott recruited Mike, a veteran guitarist who spent a decade cutting his teeth in Southern California’s punk circuits, bringing a razor-sharp bite and driving chordal presence to the arrangements.

The circle was completed when the group reached out to vocalist Lisa-Marie. A powerhouse frontwoman whose rock credentials include touring Japan with her band, Rothchild, Lisa previously fronted a project with Scott and Jason 15 years prior in The Burnside Stranglers. Reconnecting with unspoken musical chemistry, her voice brings commanding grit and haunting elevation to the four-piece's expansive soundscapes.

Launching with a three-song demo that captures both their heavy kinetic drive and thoughtful, brooding atmosphere, Hollowvine is currently gearing up to bring their live set to stages across the Pacific Northwest.
